No One Should Take Their Final Journey Alone

BECOME A MEMBER

Becoming a member means joining our team: you'll be notified whenever a tahara or shmira need arises in our community, and you'll always have a place here whether you can answer every call or only some. As we grow, membership will also give you access to our members-only resources — trainings, guides, and manuals to support you in this sacred work.

The Boulder Chevra Kadisha is a volunteer-led organization serving Jewish communities in Boulder County. Our members primarily perform two rituals:

  • Tahara — the washing and ritual purification of the body, and dressing it in traditional burial garments

  • Shmira — guarding the deceased from the time of death until burial

For security purposes, we ask everyone entering our partner mortuaries to sit shmira or perform tahara to provide their contact information. Please complete the registration form in the link below

What Happens Next
Shortly after you submit your registration form, you will receive an email from info@boulderchevrakadisha.org with membership information and training.

Thank you for joining us.
